      Mandates

  • Formulate and review policies, legislations, strategies and other documents pertaining to human settlement planning & development.
  • Prepare and review Spatial Plans, Infrastructure and Investment Plans.
  • Develop and manage Geo-database, housing inventory, Street Addressing System, and web based GIS – SMART City initiative.
  • Carry out topographical and infrastructure surveys, LAP demarcation, and boundary delineation. 
  • Develop Flood Management Plan and Sediment Management Plan.
  • Promote emerging technologies, enhance sustainability, energy efficiency, safety, quality and resiliency in building and construction.
  • Manage Urban and Housing affairs.
  • Strengthen postal and courier services in the country.
  • Conduct development reviews and provide technical support to LGs.
  • Formulate and review Disaster logistics preparedness and Disaster Management & Contingency Plans  for emergency shelter.
